Genevieve Siegel, Director of Massage Therapy

Genevieve Siegel, Massage TherapistBorn and raised in California, Genevieve is a first generation Dutch-Indonesian and second-generation body-worker. A graduate of the School of Healing Arts in Pacific Beach, Genevieve has more than 900 class hours in holistic health and is a nationally certified massage practitioner. Genevieve thoroughly enjoys facilitating the healing of others and believes in the importance of balancing the mind, body and spirit.

Genevieve's journey to becoming a massage practitioner began in 1996 when she was diagnosed with endometriosis and a large cyst on her ovary. After years of taking a variety of hormones, nothing worked and side-effects of so many medications had become debilitating. Frustrated with the whole process, Genevieve stopped taking all medications. Just when she thought life would be back on track, she started contending with severe panic attacks.

After experimenting with various medications again, Genevieve decided to make a life change and she began taking massage classes. While seeking her own healing, Genevieve found her new passion and a new profession! Genevieve soon discovered that Arvigo Technique of Maya Abdominal Massage (ATMAM) was instrumental to her healing. She took Personal Care and Professional Training courses where she gained great knowledge and experience. She realized that many people can benefit from this massage and that she was called to do this work. She has come full circle in her journey and joined The Acupuncture Wellness Clinic team.

Kimberly Fried, LAc, MSTOM Acupuncture Associate

Kimberly Fried, LAc, MSTOM Acupuncture AssociateKimberly Fried became interested in the study of the human body and healing very early in life.  She became a licensed massage therapist while completing her studies at San Francisco State University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in psychology.  Upon completion of college coupled with her experience as a massage therapist, it was clear she wanted to help people heal and explored several directions, including medical school, chiropractic, osteopathy, and acupuncture.  However, it was when she sustained a severe injury to her back she sought a multidisciplinary approach to her own healing and found that she was most fascinated with acupuncture.

Kimberly moved to San Diego to attend the preeminent Pacific College of Oriental Medicine where she received her Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine.

For the last three years, Kimberly has been an instructor of anatomy, physiology and massage therapy while at the same time being deeply involved in community outreach practicing Chinese medicine through the skillful use of acupuncture and herbs making integrative healthcare known and available to all families.
